It’s not exactly the most ‘musical’ of names is it?

Where did BitFish come from?Original Bitfish icon

Bitfish began life as a blog project, writing a blog site from scratch as a self made alternative to Wordpress.

This website is actually a re-birth of the bitfish name, after losing ALL the HTML back ups, I was resigned to using WordPress in order to get things up and running. The original was about learning php, sql, css and experimenting with web site design, but stagnated as I realised I didn’t have allot to say or the greatest of interest in saying it

With the original website, I wanted a unique domain name and I wanted to have some technical aspect to it (that’s where the ‘bit’ came from). To create the uniqueness I went to one of those random domain name generators and I ended up with bitfsh, which I misread and pronounced as bitfish.

So Why BitFish?

With the original website, I wanted a unique domain name and I wanted to have some technical aspect to it (that’s where the ‘bit’ came from). To create the uniqueness I went to one of those random domain name generators and I ended up with bitfsh, which I misread and pronounced as bitfish.

I liked it, and honestly couldn’t think of any better domain names for this project!
